Shetland Sheep
Sunny Won Grand Champion Ram Lamb at St. Clair County Fair in Goodells, Michigan! After 5 trips into the showring with Red Barn Farm Sunrise Suprise (aka Sunny), Ashley was one tired, but happy girl. Ashley, age 10, was 1st place showman in the young showmanship class, and came back out to compete in the overall showmanship class against the senior showmen (age 16 ��" 18). Sunny was 1st place ram lamb in the breeding stock class, came back out a second time and placed Grand Champion Ram Lamb, and his third time out was for Over All Champion Class, Sunny was named Reserve Champion Best Fleece on Hoof! Way to go Ashley and Sunny!
The sheep graze on our pastures and are fed hay from our fields. We have wool from our sheep for sale and yarn which was processed from the wool. We also have an Adopt a Lamb program.
We are selling this seasons roving, yarn, and wool products.
The Adopt a Lamb program includes:
- A photo of your sheep.
- A short story describing her life.
- 4 lbs of her clean fleece for you to spin, weave or felt or
- Four 4 oz. skeins of 2 ply worsted weight yarn.
- The yarn is a mix of several fibers.
- Cost to adopt a lamb is $50.00
